Comfort

Is life always comfortable and what does that mean??? I had this thought today as I headed home from my last class of the week at Gracie Barra Ventura.

The last year has been a tough one on me mentally and personally. Lots of things have changed some for the good and some not so good. In the end it is the uncomfortable situations that make you grow as a person. It wasn't easy to start all over again and be an unknown. I really had to suck it up and deal with it. As the days and months go by life is getting back to were it feels like it should be. I'm happy! All other things seem to fall in line once one part of your life comes together.

Expanding beyond your comfort zone is the only way to grow and become more than you already are. You should be proud of yourself for taking the chances you did, and will continue to take. Life is meant to be lived, not to be observed from the safety of the sidelines.

To quote Ori Hofmekler "Life in paradise should be rugged!" There is something to be said about taking risks and putting it on the line.

One thing that always hits home with me after a long, tiring, brutal climb is that comforts are not appreciated unless they are gone. A cold beer is one thousand times more delicious. A steak is heaven on a plate. I don't get those feelings when I am exposed to them all day, everyday.

Good to see all is well, Doug.
