DW got me thinking

On David Whitley's blog today he talked about how strength is viewed and often put down by others. What is easy for some is nearly impossible for others. Does that make one better than the other?

We all started somewhere, none of us started at the top! If it is a first for you be proud! If it is something you do with ease be proud , but don't stand there and bet your chest because you are wonderful. An accomplishment is just that no matter how large or small. We often get stuck in the "I lift more than you" thing and that sucks. Just remember this, there is ALWAYS someone stronger than you are. You might not even know who they are but they are out there.

Quiet Professionalism that should sound familiar to many of you.

Like the saying in OLY lifting goes, "Somewhere in China there's a 12 yr old girl warming up with your max."

It seems to, like DW pointed out, people are ashamed to be proud of an accomplishment becaue they arent the best or the strongest. Makes no sense!

You may never be stronger then someone ele, but you can alway be stronger than you are now.

Hope all is well Doug.

That's a pretty cool message. The 12 year-old Chinese girl quote is pretty sweet as well, LOL!
